Who controls your data

Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data when you use this website:

• Contact and enquiry details you submit through the contact form, such as your name, email address, company and the message you send.
• Answers you give in the project estimate form, saved as each step is completed so you can leave and return without losing progress.
• Analytics data collected through Google Tag Manager, including pages viewed and general location, but only after you consent to analytics cookies.
• Server logs generated automatically by our hosting infrastructure, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
• Visit statistics recorded by our own server without cookies: the pages you view and for how long, the site or campaign link that brought you here, your country and city (worked out from your IP address by our network provider), device type and browser. Your IP address is not stored: visits are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day, so you cannot be recognised on a later visit.

Why we process your data, and our legal basis

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we rely on one of the following legal bases for each purpose:

• Contract or pre-contract steps: to respond to an enquiry or estimate request and prepare a proposal, we process the details you give us because you asked us to.
• Consent: analytics cookies are set only after you actively consent through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests: server logs are kept to secure the website and diagnose faults, and cookieless visit statistics are used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful, purposes that do not override your rights and interests.

Who else sees your data

We share personal data with a small number of processors who act on our instructions, each bound by a data processing agreement:

• Our hosting provider, which hosts this website and the servers that store form submissions.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

International transfers

Where a processor listed above is located, or stores data, outside the country or region you are in, the transfer is covered by an appropriate safeguard, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum, as applicable to that processor.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and estimate details only for as long as we need them to answer your request and to run any project that follows, and server logs only for as long as they are needed to keep the website secure. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national or the UK data protection authority.

If the CCPA or CPRA applies to you, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, which we do not engage in.
